SpeakHit ("we", "us", or "our") operates the web application at speakhit.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. What We Collect

Email address (for account login)
Google profile info (name, email, avatar — if using Google login)
Songs you create (audio, lyrics, cover art)
Song preferences (genre, style, language)
Usage data (songs created, features used)
Voice recordings during song creation chat (processed in real-time, not permanently stored)
Feedback messages you send

2. What We Don't Collect

Payment card details (handled entirely by PayPal)
Location data
Contacts
Browsing history outside SpeakHit

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide the song creation service
To maintain your song library
To manage your subscription and credits
To improve the service
To send verification emails (via Resend/SMTP)
To respond to your feedback

4. Voice Data

Voice input is used for real-time conversation with the AI
Voice is converted to text (speech-to-text) for processing
We do not permanently store raw voice recordings
Text transcriptions may be temporarily stored during the session

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following services that process your data:

Supabase (database, authentication) — stores your account and songs
Anthropic / Claude (AI) — processes your conversation to generate lyrics
AI Music Generation Services — music composition and production
ElevenLabs (text-to-speech) — provides AI voice for chat (Premium plan)
Cloudflare (CDN, security) — serves the app and protects against attacks
Render (hosting) — hosts the application server
PayPal (payments) — processes subscription payments
Resend (email) — sends verification and notification emails
Google (OAuth) — handles Google login

Each service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

6. Data Storage

Your data is stored on servers in the United States (Supabase / Render)
Audio files are stored on Cloudflare R2 (global CDN)
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS / SSL)

7. Data Retention

Active accounts: data kept as long as account is active
Deleted accounts: all data permanently removed within 30 days
Cancelled subscriptions: songs and account remain accessible

8. Your Rights

You can:

Access your data (songs, profile) through the app
Download your songs as MP3 files
Delete your account and all data from Settings
Contact us to request data export

9. Cookies & Local Storage

We use localStorage to remember your preferences (language, volume, accessibility mode)
We use session cookies for authentication
We do NOT use tracking cookies or advertising cookies
Cloudflare may set security cookies

10. Children

SpeakHit is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:
